Our Services

Top Quality Veterinary Services

At Acorn Hills Animal Center, we offer general wellness care for the dogs and cats. We provide everything from wellness checkups and pet vaccinations to health certificates and emergency care (during business hours). We offer weekend and after-hours care by appointment. Our services start with our careful and thorough veterinary examinations that include a nose-to-tail checkup. You are always welcome to stay with your pet, and we communicate with you throughout the exam so you know what we are observing.

Regular Examinations

Regular examinations are very important to ensure your pet’s good health. The frequency of exams depends on the age of your pet and any ongoing health conditions. In general, we like to see our patients once a year until they reach the senior age of 6 or 7. After that, we recommend twice yearly exams. Because pets age must faster than we do, 6 months is a very long time. The more frequent visits help us spot health issues your senior pet may be developing before they become serious and much more difficult to treat.

Surgical Services

If your pet should ever need surgery, Acorn Hills Animal Center is well equipped to handle veterinary surgeries ranging from routine spays and neuters to anal gland surgery; intestinal, bladder, and urethral surgery; eye and ear surgery; dental surgery and more. Our team knows how to safely prepare your pet for surgery, monitor during the procedure, and support a healthy recovery. Ask us for more information about this area of our practice.

Pet Vaccinations

Acorn Hills Animal Center offers preventive vaccinations for dogs and cats, which is a safe, cost-effective way of protecting your pet from many serious health conditions. We work with you to select the most appropriate vaccines for your pet based on factors such as breed, age, general health, and lifestyle. Vaccinations are not only important for the health of your pet, but also the health of your family, since some pet diseases can be transmitted to humans.
